What We Offer

How It Works

Every tool on this site does the same three things when you paste a link:

  1. The URL is matched against the platform it belongs to, and rejected if it is not a supported media page.
  2. We request the publicly served media manifest for that item and read the renditions the platform publishes — resolution, container, bitrate and file size.
  3. You pick a format and the file transfers directly to your device. Nothing is written to our servers, and nothing is retained afterwards.

What we deliberately do not do is just as important. We hold no logged-in session on any platform, so private accounts, protected posts, subscriber-only videos and password-protected uploads are invisible to us. We do not defeat DRM, and we do not attempt to reach paid catalogues such as Spotify, SoundCloud Go+, Vimeo On Demand or Bilibili Bangumi. Where a platform blocks a request, we surface the real reason instead of pretending the download failed.

Why Some Platforms Are Missing

We remove tools rather than leave broken ones online. Spotify and Bandcamp are absent because their catalogues are licensed and protected; LinkedIn, Threads and Likee are absent because the platforms do not reliably serve their media to unauthenticated requests and a tool that fails most of the time is worse than no tool. If a platform becomes workable, we add it back and say so.

Editorial Standards

The guides in our blog and the explanatory sections on each tool page are written in-house by people who use these platforms daily. We test each tool against real, publicly posted content before publishing a page for it, and we describe honestly what a tool cannot do — expired CDN links, region locks, rate limits and quality ceilings are all documented rather than hidden. When a platform changes and something stops working, we update or remove the page.

Responsible Use

Omni Media Tools is designed for content you created, public-domain media, and content you have explicit permission to use. We do not support copyright infringement. Every tool page carries specific guidance on the licensing traps for that platform, because they genuinely differ: TikTok's music licence does not travel with the file, SoundCloud's Creative Commons terms vary track by track, and Snapchat raises consent questions that copyright law does not answer. Users are solely responsible for ensuring they hold the rights to any content they process. See our DMCA policy if you believe your work has been misused.

How This Site Is Funded

Omni Media Tools is free to use and is funded by display advertising. We do not sell user data, we do not run affiliate links inside tool results, and advertising has no influence on which platforms we support or what our guides say. Our privacy policy sets out exactly what is and is not collected.

Who Runs It

Omni Media Tools is an independent project owned and operated by Aman Kumar, an individual publisher based in India. It is not a registered company and has no support department, so every reply comes from the person who actually builds and maintains the site, usually within two to three business days. There is no ticketing system and no outsourced chat.
