Reddit Splits Video and Audio, Which Is the Whole Problem
When you upload video to Reddit it is transcoded to DASH and stored as two separate streams: a silent video file and an audio file alongside it. The player stitches them together in the browser. That is why saving a Reddit video the obvious way produces a clip with no sound, and why so many people assume the original was mute. This tool fetches both streams and muxes them back into a single MP4 with working audio.
Quality depends entirely on what Reddit stored. Common renditions are 1080p, 720p and 480p; the tool requests the highest available. Video posted before Reddit's native hosting existed is usually a link to another host and behaves accordingly.

Getting the Right Link
Open the post and copy the permalink — reddit.com/r/subreddit/comments/abc123/title/. The share sheet's shortened redd.it/abc123 also works. Links copied from old.reddit.com resolve the same way. A link to a comment rather than the submission may not carry the media reference, so back up to the post itself.

Silent output on a rare post means Reddit stored no audio track for that submission — some uploads genuinely have none.
Responsible Use
Reddit is a republishing engine, and much of what circulates there was taken from somewhere else without permission. That a clip is on Reddit tells you nothing about who owns it. Save your own submissions, public-domain material, or content you have cleared. Reposting a downloaded clip as original content is both a sitewide rule violation and, usually, an infringement.
